Keauhou, Big Island
Sunset paddle with some friends. Of the many beautiful Kona sunsets, this was one of the best I’ve witnessed.
Kailua-Kona, Big Island
Working for Sea Quest Hawaii provided plenty of opportunity to swim with some awesome creatures like this Hammerhead. I love the ocean!

Tongariro Alpine Crossing, North Island, New Zealand
My first solo trip was to New Zealand and it was, in short, awesome. It really opened my eyes to travel and the endless possibilities that come with it. I met so many amazing people that I will never forget. There is something truly magical about creating friendships and sharing experiences in mesmerizing places. You may be out of your comfort zone at times, but it is always worth it.
Lake Tekapo, South Island, New Zealand
It was hard not to take a thousand pictures of the lupine in bloom. I only took 999.
El Nido, Palawan, Philippines
Rented some kayaks for the day and cruised around the close surrounding islands. Wouldn’t mind retiring to this place.
El Nido, Palawan, Philippines
My three friends and I were lucky enough to take a boat trip for the day throughout the islands. The marine life and topography, both in and out of the water, were exceptional. The clownfish proved very photogenic and I believe I found Nemo.
Kalanggaman Island, Philippines
The most beautiful island in the world.

Somewhere in the Yukon...
Best rest stop ever! During our road trip up to Alaska.
Again, somewhere in the Yukon...
We were driving the fifth wheel along in the Yukon Territory of Canada when we saw something on the side of the road, a Grizzly! We stayed in the truck obviously, but since we were the only vehicle on the highway, we were able to slowly keep pace with this beauty for over ten minutes!
Ermine Hill, Denali State Park, Alaska
Hiking to the top was a challenge, but totally worth the view on this epically clear day. Mount Denali stands at 20,310ft in the distance. The perfect day to see the tallest mountain in North America.
K2 Aviation, Denali National Park & Preserve, Alaska
Living in Talkeetna, Alaska for the summer, the gateway to Denali, provided us with awesome opportunities for flight seeing. Wes and I were lucky enough to get on a flight on one of the clearest days of the summer. I took this shot from the Ruth Amphitheater Glacier near the summit as a fellow K2 plane was taking flight.
Denali National Park & Preserve, Alaska
Moose showing off his rack.
Talkeetna, Alaska
For a few weeks during the summer, a momma moose (cow) and her two calves were hanging around the neighborhood. We were able to see them on at least four separate occasions. They decided to munch on some grass for dinner one evening right outside of our trailer.
Marmot Mountain, Hatcher Pass, Alaska
It was amazing to see so many bees doing their thing during our hike up Marmot Mountain! They loved the blooming fireweed. Save the bees.
Alaska Sealife Center, Seward, Alaska
I love puffins! Wes and I were able to get up close and personal with these Tufted Puffins, who were dressed to impress. Seward was one of the best places in Alaska to view wildlife in many forms.
Resurrection Bay, Seward, Alaska
ORCAS!!! These creatures have been on my list for awhile and I can finally cross them off. The captain and crew at Kenai Fjords Tours pushed the Orca button and boom, they appeared on cue. The captain was able to identify this resident pod and they did not disappoint.
Seward, Alaska
While camping on the water, this majestic eagle was standing guard. He was very intrigued by the sound of my shutter.
